SLC & Mill Creek Yurt 2009

February 28th-March 5th I was fortunate enough to visit Jodi, Jeremy and Zelli out in Salt Lake City! Jodi and I skied 1 day at Alta, where Jodi's medical background proved to be beneficial. We were the first to approach a skier that fell down a steep chute,
suffering from a cut to his head, a punctured lung and a few broken ribs. It could have been a lot worse, but it certainly reinforced our decisions to wear helmets!!! I was also lucky enough to spend 2 nights in the Mill Creek Yurt with Jodi, Jeremy and Zelli. It was a 4.6 mile ski up to the Yurt, which took a little over 3 hours to get there. Once inside we got the wood stove going, had some snacks and practiced using the beacons out in the snow. The next two days we did some touring around Little Water Peak and Big Water Gulch. It certainly was a workout hiking up to the top and making a few runs. We definitely burned off all of the special k bars that we ate :) The snow could have been a little better, but we still had a great time. I look forward to future trips out to SLC and hopefully even Mill Creek Yurt. I will have to put in a few more hours on the stairmaster!!! Thank you to Jodi, Jeremy & Zelli for being such great hosts!! Happy Yurting!!! :)

Halloween 2008 at Chateau Dupont

Shelly & Rion had all of us over to their house on Dupont for a fun Halloween party.  Some people were dressed up and looked scary...went more for an "outdoorsy look".  Here are some fun pics from the night.

Mark & Amanda's Wedding

Hello again.  Here are some pictures from Mark & Amanda's wedding.  It was a great time just outside of Milwaukee.  Of course the Pastor mentioned that Amanda was the most organized bride he had every met in the past 35 years of ministry.  Not a surprise :) Seeing all of the guys all dressed up was a lot of fun.
